Thiruvananthapuram: The ranks of the state government’s decision to change the actions of Lok Ayukta take a new turn with opposition leader V D Sathean looking for Sitaram Yechury’s Sitaram Yechury CPM intervention to prevent CPM-headed LDF administration to make critical changes to important actions for Lok Ayukta.
In his letter, Sathean praised the holder taken by Yechury at Rajya Sabha during the debate on the Lok Pal Bill in 2011 and 2013, given how Yechury was looking for more power to the Ombudsman.
He also reminded the Secretary General of CPM articles published by the party in publications regarding the need to empower Lok friends with quasi-yudicial powers.
