New Delhi: Lok Sabha on Thursday passed the Airport Authority of the Indian Economic Arrangement (Amendment) of Bill, 2021 without a debate in the midst of a commotion created by opposition members for Pegasus’s demands and agricultural law.
This bill seeks to change the Authority of the Indonesian Economic Arrangement Authority Act, 2008.
Proposes to change the definition of “Main Airport” so as to extend the scope to determine the tariff for a group of airports as well, which will encourage a smaller development of the airport.
Moving bills for the passage, civil avidies Jyotiraditya Scindia said that the government, under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, committed to making flights accessible to ordinary humans.
Scindia attacked the opposition for disturbing the trial of the house.
He said the government was committed to the welfare of farmers and the development of the country.
“During the pandemic, instead of discussion, the house witnessed sloganeering.
In the midst of all these sloganeering, the government is committed to the welfare of all parts including farmers and poor.” They (opposition) do not want discussion during the Covid crisis.
But the MOD government will change this crisis into an opportunity and provide all possible facilities for farmers and humans, “Scindia said.” People must know what is being done under the leadership of PM Modi.
The whole nation must also know their behavior (opposition) too.
The government works for the benefit of the people.
They (opposition) don’t want to listen and just want to talk.
In democracy, you need to listen if you want to talk, “he added.
He said the bill would open the way to increase air traffic and related economic activities throughout the country including in Tier-two and level-three cities.
