New Delhi: Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha will operate in a separate shift of five hours each during the parliamentary budget session which began on January 31.
Changes, notified in the light of fresh surge in Covid cases, will soon kick the President giving a shared address to both houses on January 31.
On February 1, Lok Sabha will meet at 11 o’clock in the morning for the presentation of the Union budget.
From February 2 to 11, the first half of the budget session, the lower house will sit start at 16:00 to 21:00, while Rajya Sabha will operate during the morning, possibly from 9am to 2 noon.
LS and RS Chambers and Gallery will be used for seating members with physical pause norms, a Lok Sabha Lembu issued on Monday.
So far, timings are only told for the first half of the budget session.
Between suspension throughout the month, the committee stands will examine the demands for grants raised by various ministries and departments.
Both houses will regroup on March 14 and the budget session is expected to conclude on April 8 in the second half.
The same process was followed for the first part of the budget session in 2021.
Houses returned to their original timings from the second part of the budget session in 2021.
