NEW DELHI: Using Trianmool Congress demanding disqualification of 2 MPs out of West Bengal — Sunil Mandal and Sisir Adhikari — That Had Been Chosen on TMC tickets on the Lok Sabha at 2019 but Changed sides to BJP Ahead of the Bengal assembly elections, Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla has Ensured TMC leader at the House Sudip Bandopadhyay on Monday, He Would Soon Be taking up the Problem until Parliament opens to Its monsoon session in July.

The Speaker advised Bandopadhyay on Monday he will establish a scrutiny committee shortly to start looking into the 2 cases.
“On the basis of proof that we’ve filed against Mandal and Adhikari, the board will call both members and will even talk for me to move on the disqualification instances,” Bandopadhyay told TOI on Monday.
“Based on my understanding the instances will get solved before Parliament opens to the monsoon session,” he added.
The two members had campaigned for BJP throughout the Bengal surveys, without resigning their LS chairs.
Interestingly, whilst TMC is searching disqualification of Kanthi MP Sisir Adhikari, dad of Suvendu Adhikari, that conquered TMC leader Mamata Banerjee out of Nandigram to become anointed leader of resistance in the nation, it isn’t seeking disqualification of Suvendu’s brother Dibyendu Adhikari, who’s a TMC MP out of Tamluk.
Based on party sources, Dibyendu”never identified himself with BJP,” such as his brother or dad.
Meanwhile, the Burdhman-Purba MP Mandal, whose disqualification is pending since January 4, 2021, was calling up to TMC leaders shortly after Bengal meeting election results were announced on May 2.
However, TMC sources state Mamata Banerjee is not likely to take him into the fold.
The disqualification was hunted on reasons of anti-party action.
Bandopadhyay wrote to the Speaker earlier searching disqualification under Article 102(2) of this Constitution, in regard to para 2 (1) (a) of the Tenth Schedule as well as based on Rule 6 of the Members of Lok Sabha, 1985 (Disqualification of this Planet of Defection).
