Nagpur: After viewing corona patients fighting to get bedrooms, oxygen and drugs throughout the next wave, four social workers came together to provide help. As they couldn’t do much about beds and drugs, they chose to offer oxygen to the desperate patients in their homes.So much, their team Lokmangal Foundation has supplied oxygen tanks to more than 140 patients, occasionally even after midnight following getting calls. They began together with nine cylinders and currently have over 150. After coming to understand in their noble initiative, a United Arab Emirates-based community team’Triveni’ discharged 100 empty tanks to them. They attained city from Mumbai. Union minister Nitin Gadkari, although lauding his initiative, passed on the cylinders for them for distribution among patients.Shripad Borikar, popularly called Chhotu Bhaiyya, along with his group have hired a car for ferrying the tanks that they secure from plants and send them into the houses of patients. “We did not quit at this. In addition, we assist patients instal those ladders together with all the oxygen flowmeters, when barely anybody wants to go close to the sufferers because of risk of disease. We took all of the steps by wearing PPE kits while visiting patients’ house. We chose to take the dip as opposed to sit home in the lockdown.
