LONDON: The police in London caught a man suspiciously to pollute food in three supermarkets by injecting the syringe.
The local authorities suggested buyers at stores in the West London Hammersmith region to dispose of their purchases after the suspect was detained on Wednesday night.
The authorities have not identified how many items are damaged or if the syringes are inside.
The officer was first called at 7:40 p.m.
For reports a man shouted abuse on people on the road.
London Metropolitan Police Service said the suspect was suspected of using “a number of needles ” to inject processed meat and Ovukati products in the small branches of Sainsbury’s, Tesco and Waitrose at Fulham Palace Road.
He was arrested” because of the suspicion of contamination of goods with intention to cause losses or Public anxiety, “said the police department.
The three shops remained closed Thursday.
The Hammersmith and Fulham council said the investigation was underway.
“Community members are suggested as preventive measures to dispose of food items purchased from this supermarket last night,” said the council in a statement.
