Navi Mumbai: The two main portions of Neral-Safe Lodge on the path of Mathan were hit by landslides and partly washed away.
Some tracks between water pipes and cottage stations are safe, and Jummapatti and water pipe stations have been blocked.
The surface under the track between Jummapatti and the water pipe station has been swept away.
Cr has started restoration work.
The train movement in the section was stopped since December 2019, but the shuttle service operates between Mathanan-safe Lodge.
“During July 21-22 heavy rains, the Lodge of Neral-Safe Line was affected because of landslides.
The track was closed for the train movement and had not been restored for passengers,” said Janardan Parte, a resident of Matheman.
