Pune: The Wanowrie police have captured the population of 25-year-old Loni Kalbhor, who allegedly behind a series of card exchange fraud at ATM kiosks throughout the city.
The police found RS3.5 lakh and 17 cards from the man, Shravan Minjagi, who was originally from Solapur and had lived in Loni Kalbhor in the country’s countryside for some time.
“Minjagi will roam around the ATM kiosk to oversee parents or individuals who are not familiar with making ATM transactions.
He will then offer assistance to those individuals.
In the process, he will replace their cards with Bogus and also secure personal identification numbers ( PIN).
Then, he will make a withdrawal using a original card and a pin, “said Senior Inspector Deepak Lagad on Wednesday.
Minjagi has delayed six people in Pune in such a way, police said.
Four cases related to fraud and theft below 420 and 379 of the Indian Criminal Code (IPC), respectively, was registered with Wanowrie, Loni Kalbhor, Hadapsar and Cantonese Police Station since June 22.
“Minjagi is a criminal in the police record with 11 cases listed in his name with Pune Rural, Solapur, Osmanabad and also Karnataka police since 2016.
He previously did some small jobs and then took to cheat people at the ATM to make money easily.

The incident was revealed after the wife began to receive a text message on her cellphone from the money debited from her husband’s bank account.
“Minjagi is used for most of communicating in Marathi and Hind.
He has postponed six people to RS1.85,500 in the city since April 16.
