Ghaziabad: A nephew of a 72-year-old fabric trader, who was killed with his two sons at their two-story house in Loni on Monday morning, was arrested on Tuesday for three murder.
He has been booked and sent to Judicial guard.
The police said Ayyub, the defendant, wanted to start a new business and looked for Rs 10 lakh from his uncle, Riyaz, who had refused repeatedly.
On Sunday night, Ayyub visited Riyaz and asked for the money.
The heated argument was followed when Riyaz refused again.
Ayyub then had dinner with family but dropped the subject as he prepared with a gun, police said.
“After dinner, ayyub retired to a room.
About 2.50 am on Monday, after everyone at the bedroom, Riyaz went to the restroom.
Ayyub waited outside and when Riyaz came out, he again tried to convince his uncle to help him.
When Riyaz said no, ayyub shot him, “said Ghaziabad digging and SSP Amit Pathak.
When he heard gunshots, the others in Riyaz Fatima’s family, their sons of Azharuddin and Imraan and wife of Azharuddin Afsana, who were four months pregnant – rushed to the place of pregnancy.
Ayyub shot Azharuddin and Imraan, who died in place, and Fatima, whose conditions continued to be critical.
Afsana, who witnessed the crime from the first floor, told the police that he ran towards her husband after he was shot.
“When he tried to shoot Afsana, the gun was jammed.
When he tried to fix it, the son of Riyaz who lived nearby and the neighbors rushed home.
Ayyub goes to the terrace, jumps into a close house and then goes down on the road behind,” Pathak said.
Dr.
Iraz King, SP (rural), said Ayyub threw his gun and his blood stained shirt in the house near the house of the victims after the crime.
He then went to his own home, wearing a T-shirt and joining the crowd.
To avoid suspicion, he helped take Fatima to the hospital.
Dr.
Raja said the gun used by Ayyub was bought by his father in 2020 for safety.
“Ayyub tries to put a reducer on the gun and even look at the video on YouTube more than 10 times for it, but failed to fix it,” he added.
While a FIR has been submitted to the LONI Police Station under the IPC 396 section (Dakoitas with murder) and 397 (robbery or dacoity, with efforts to cause death or sadness) against five unknown people on Monday, the police will now turn it into part 302 (punishment for murder).
