Goa: Dr.
Manjunath Desai, a leading cardiologist in GMC and one of the brightest stars on the country’s medical horizon, died on Sunday after a short disease.
The hero for thousands of heart patients throughout the country, he was admired for his extraordinary skills and humility, and his death scheduled a cave into a state of sadness.
The first specialist joined the Hospital cardiology department in 2013, before officially assigned, Desai built a reputation that towered only a few years, and was known to treat the prince and poor people with the same dedication and integrity.
After news of his death broke on Sunday, Goan’s social media was converted into a large canvas where patients, colleagues, politicians and others paid tribute and post memories.
Some tell me how he saved their lives, others how he calmed them as they were scared.
Some also remember it as an oasis of tranquility like Zen in the midst of a huge public hospital rush.
Desy survived his wife and son.
The last rite was done in Borim on Sunday after noon.
After completing MBBS and MD at GMC, Desai worked in England for several years, and also in private hospitals in Bengaluru.
Desai joined the GMC after Parragar launched a plan for Cardiac Centrehowever, a private hospital was not in accordance with the temperament, so when the former Minister of Manohar Parrrikar launched his plan to establish a full cardiology department in GMC, he jumped on the opportunity to serve GMC, he jumped on the opportunity Serving the country and nation.
He continued this service even through his illness.
“Even though he was not healthy for the past three months, he reported to work as often as possible,” said GMC cardiology, Dr.
Guruprasad rose, which was appointed to the Ministry.

“Head of Cardiovascular Surgery and Toraks GMC, Dr Shirish Borkar, last met Desai on Saturday.
“He left was a personal loss for me, but Goa had lost a brilliant cardiologist and a great human being.
Death won it too early.”
