Noida: The two member committees have been established by district judges to investigate how medical equipment is lost from Covid facilities while in the 125 sector.
The panel consists of additional DM Finance Gunja Singh and Dr.
Sunil Dohare, an additional medical officer head, is expected to send a report in this regard .
The hospital, L1 facility, was started by the Ministry of Health along with Tata Trust during the first wave of Covid as part of the last corporate social responsibility (CSR).
While equipment is provided by Tata Trust, Labor and Management is handled by the Ministry of Health.
The facility stopped functioning on December 30, 2020 and was closed after no new case received more than a week.
It did not start back during the second wave because the house isolation was allowed at that time and L1 facilities were not needed.
However, after being closed, it was found that some medical equipment now lost or cannot be traced.
“We have asked for details of all equipment – medical and non-medical – which are installed and whether we know where this has shifted.
Once we get a report, we will know if something is missing,” said Suhas District Judge Ly.
The source at the health department said the facility had around 200 beds, side stools, air conditioning, coolers and several equipment such as blood pressure monitors, blood glucose monitors and stethoscopes.
Because it is a L1 facility, no large medical equipment such as oxygen cylinders, concentrators or ventilators.
According to a senior health official, “Because it is a Covid facility, the equipment is likely to shift to a store for deep sanitis.
The request committee is now trying to collect inventory and check if something is missing.”
