Noida: A three-year-old girl, who lost from her house four days ago, was found dead in a building under construction in Noida on Tuesday, police said.
The body bears a sign of injury and has been sent for post-mortem when the investigation has also been launched in the case, the Deputy Commissioner of Police (Women and Children of Gautam Buddh Nagar), Vrinda Shukla said.
“The girl lives here with her grandmother.
His father lodged in prison since the last two years in a criminal case while his mother lived in Budaun District because the couple had a dispute about the custody of the girl,” Shukla said.
The grandmother had approached the local Phase-2 police station on December 25, stating that the three-year-old girl was lost, according to officials.
A fired fired and the search was made by several police teams, including those who went to his grandparents in Budaun, the official said.
“Chasing the case, the local police were told by the girl’s relatives on Tuesday about the presence of a young girl’s body in a building under construction near the village of Urarabas,” said DCP Shukla.
“The police inspected the building and found the body, which signed several signs of injury.
The body has been sent for post mortem and further legal processes will be carried out,” he added.
The police have arrested several suspects to be questioned, the officer said, added further investigation into progress.
