Hyderabad: A 17-year-old student allegedly strangled to death by his lover in Alwal on Monday night for forcing him to marry him.
Based on the information provided by a defendant’s friend, the police picked him up and found the body near the railway on Tuesday.
The victim, who was the first year of a private student in Bowenpally, left his house in Alwal at 10 am on Monday and did not return.
While family members are waiting for him to think that he might go to a friend’s house without telling them, a teenager, a friend of the victim’s lover, Deepak, 18, approached the police revealed that the last one had told him about killing the girl.
Based on information provided by teenagers, the police took Deepak from Secunderabad in early Tuesday.
In interrogation, he claimed to have killed the victim, police said.
Deepak guided the police to the bushes adjacent to the railway line behind Bhel Quarters near Loyola College in Alwal, where the victim’s body was found.
“Deepak met with the victim at 1pm, Monday and took him to an isolated place close to the railway.
After a fight, he strangled the victim by stealing,” said Alwal Inspector Gangadhar.
The defendant, who was preparing for the entrance examinations after completing the intermediary, admitted that he had a relationship with the victim for about a year and recently began to avoid it.
“When the victim began to pressure to get married, he killed him,” Alwal police said.
The police registered a murder case.
