PALGHAR: The body of a man and woman, who has a relationship, was found hanging from the tree here in Palghar, police said on Tuesday.
While there were no suicide records found, the police suspected they took extreme steps because they seemed to be afraid that their families would not approve their affair, said the Talasari Police Office Inspector Ajay Vasave said.
The body of a 23-year-old man and a 22-year-old woman was found hanging from the tree on the outskirts of Vadavali Palghar on Sunday, he said they had posted their obituaries as their Whatsapp status before they were found dead, the official said.
The case of unintentional deaths is registered and the body is sent for postmortem, he added.
