His mother Mamoni Borghain (45) has undergone a kidney transplant operation at the RN Tagore International Institute of Cardiac Sciences (RTIICS) on February 15 this year.
The medical team under the head of the hospital nephrology, Deepak Shankar Ray, has carried out operations.
“On that day, after the operation was over, I managed to see my mother once when she was pushed out of PL.
I left for Delhi to continue my training for the Olympics.
I am very happy with the recovery of my mother,” said the boxer.
“I broke down in joy.
I was lucky that I had three strong daughters and two others were in paramilitary forces.
I drew a lot of energy and motivation from them,” said his mother, Mamoni.
Lovlina was accompanied by her father Tiken and cousins.
The family will go to Guwahati on Thursday.
