Noida: The Central Building Research Institute (CBRI), which helps noida authority take to destroy Twin Towers SuperTech, will need more time to prepare a plan to drop the building.
The source said the team has marked several practical problems, which can delay demolition reports.
According to orders by the Supreme Court, the Noida Authority must destroy the tower in November.
The CBRI should send reports on Tuesday and the tender is likely to have been issued this week itself.
The research institute has now brought the help of two independent experts to prepare the demolition plan.
On Tuesday, Director of CBRI N Gopalakrishnan visited the Zamrud court site in sector 93 to get a better understanding of the layout.
He was accompanied by Anoop Mittal, former Chair and Managing Director of the National Corporation (NBCC) Limited, and Mohan Ramanathan, who headed the Indian Demolition Association.
The source said the CBRI team will prepare a 3D model that will combine all the characteristics of twin towers and the impact of demolition in the nearest building.
During a visit to the site, the Expert Team, Noida Authority Official and Rwa Members of the Emerald Court continued to discuss practical problems that need to be resolved before demolition training began.
Around 10:30 a.m., experts gathered at the RWA office and looked for building plans and structural designs from authority officials.
Supertech representatives are also called to the site along with relevant documents.
The team then reached the twin tower basement to check the length and width of the column that supported the structure.
Even though the halogen lamp was inserted, the light was inadequate became an obstacle in taking measurements and exploring the stairs that lead to the basement.
On the ground floor of the Apex Tower, the team checks the distance between Aster 2 and Apex.
Paver blocks are placed to help team members climb the sidewalk wall built around the peak.
“The team wants to examine the basement that is lower than the top, but cannot access it,” said a resident of Zamrud Court and Rwa Member, Vinod Srivastava.
Officials failed to enter the basement because the water had accumulated there after rain.
Gopalakrishnan and the other two then went to the Noida Authority Office for a meeting with the Chief Executive Officer Ritu Maheshwari at around 12:30 a.m.
The source said the expert team told the CEO of problems that had not been resolved and told him that more time might be needed to complete the demolition report.
“We have provided all the information needed by the team.
The Director of CBRI and the two experts work on the road map.
We have detailed discussions with them and will explore all options,” Maheshwari said.
Akhil Jain, a member of the Indian demolition association based in Delhi, said the demolition exercise would not take much time after the report was ready.
“Detailed images and structural designs will be learned.
Expertise in lowering the tower is available domestically.
So, it will not take a lot of time after the report is ready.” With the help of images, the Noida Authority has been asked to paint columns, pillars, and pedestal that supports the tower twins at the basement level.
Officials must also arrange for clear photos and videos from two basements that cannot be captured with drones.
Authority must also prepare traffic plans at least 12 hours before demolition.
