Bhubaneswar: IMD has expected rainfall that is widespread throughout the state on Sunday and Monday due to the influence of a low-pressure area formed above Bengal East Bay.
It also issued a yellow warning of heavy opportunities until very heavy rainfall in isolated places for two days.
For Saturday, light rainfall to being able to occur in several places on the coast and other regions, said Bulletin IMD.
“The system that has formed above the East Bay-Central Bay and the environment is very likely to be more marked for the next 12 hours.
It will move the west-northwest to Odisha beach in the next 48 hours,” said the bulletin.
Umashankar Das, Scientists at the Central IMD center in Bhubaneswar said the system would trigger heavy rainfall for two days.
He said the South Odisha bag would see heavy rain on Monday.
“Fishermen are advised not to explore the sea for three days starting on Saturday,” said the watershed.
Lakan Chandra Sahu, a senior meteorologist and director in the center of the neighborhood and the climate in SOA is considered a university, said the opportunity for expanding rainfall to the end of the month.
Sahu, a former director of the Central IMD center, said the new low-pressure area that has just formed during the day may increase to depression or a deep hurricane.
“It is expected to trigger heavy rain in coastal districts and South Odisha for two days since Sunday and the possibility of crossing the South Odisha coast in the Ganjam district on Sunday night,” said Sahu.
He said other systems would likely develop over the Bengal East-Central Bay on Monday.
“The movement and impact of his future will be clear in the next two days,” he added.
The state government, after the estimated IMD, has asked the district collector to remain vigilant.
