Low pressure system to keep active monsoons until the end of sept

New Delhi: Friday is the expected date for the start of the Monsoon Retreat of the country, but it will likely remain energized to at least the end of this month with two, maybe three, more layers of low-pressure backward in Bay Bay, said the highest official of the department.
India has received a surplus rainfall of 33.4% in September so far, helps narrow the overall rainy season deficit of up to 4%, from 10% in the last week of August.
Every further increase in the remainder of this month will place this year’s monsoon in the “normal” category.
While one cyclical circulation is likely to have begun to have an impact on Odisha and West Bengal from Saturday, as reported on Wednesday, another system is expected to bring rain for four to five days starting September 25, the Indian Meteorology Department (IMD) said.
“The monsoon is not possible to be withdrawn at the end of this month because of the possibility of the formation of two cyclone circulation in Bay Bay and their western sea movements in the middle and side by side in northwestern India,” said Mrutyunjay Mohapatra, Head of IMD.
Meanwhile, the weather model refers to the possibility of another system formed in Bengal Bay around September 28, but Mohapatra said it was too early to talk about it with any level of certainty.
At present, low pressure is well marked in the North Madhya Pradesh and side by side with Uttar Pradesh.
This system is now expected to bring a wide enough rain on Gujarat, Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh in the next three days, with increasing rain from Gujarat from Sunday, the Met Office said.
