Lower murder, street crime rises in Delhi

New Delhi: Murder, the main indicator of the situation of crime in the city, declined this year, Delhi police data showed.
Of the 393 murders reported until October 31 last year, 379 was submitted in the same period of time this year.
The source said the number of murders related to fewer crimes and the majority were the impact of personal hostility and sudden provocation with the defendants and victims who were known to each other.
Overall, cruel crimes rose slightly with 4,614 cases reported in 2020 against 4,666 years.

Police Commissioner Delhi Rakesh Asthana has instructed all the commissioners together and special to focus on reducing street crime in their respective zones.
