New Delhi: Households must pay Rs 25.50 more for each 14.2 kg LPG refill from Thursday, while every 19-kg refill used by commercial consumers will cost Rs 76 more than Thursday.
This is the fifth increase in the LPG refill price since December 2020, except for cuts of RS10 on March 31.
Because at this time there are no subsidies, the latest increase will add to the burden in the middle class, it has resisted by skyrocketing gasoline and diesel prices and high inflation rates.
According to the latest notification of the price of fuel retailers managed by the government, households in Mumbai and Delhi had to pay Rs 834.50 per cylinder against the previous RS 809.
In Kolkata, each cylinder will now cost Rs 835.50, while it will become Rs 850.50 in Chennai.
Commercial cylinders will cost Rs 1,550 in Delhi and a little more elsewhere due to different tax rates.
