Jalandhar: Beautiful professional university (LPU) has announced the establishment of ‘professional room stations for several tracking and satellite telemetry on campus.
The station will function under the ‘Space Research Center’ university inaugurated last year by Director of Drdo General Sudhir Mishra.
The university said that the station would not only act as a resource for LPUs and researchers but would also become a virtual laboratory for other educational institutions in India and neighboring countries.
“With precision automatic antenna adjustments and digital signal processing, this professional station has two modules tracking modules and amateur radio (radio ham), along with many other prominent features.
It can track many satellites, which are currently more than 3000 and can Collect real satellite images, “said a statement issued by LPU.
“It can be used for a number of functions, from determining the position of assets such as vehicles and livestock, city planning, weather forecast, and disaster management support.
It also helps for community connections; communication with cellular assets including drones; monitor electrical channels and land-slides, “said the University.

“The space station will allow students and researchers to communicate with the International Space Station and receive data from Nanosatellites and other spacecraft.
This center will conduct a awareness program related to space research and remote sensing with the support of the Punjab remote sensing center, too.
The Space Station in LPU also offers a gateway mission control center to orbit, for general use, “said LPU Chancellor Ashok Mittal.
He said that the LPU research center for space is closely related to the ISRO program situational situation & management (SSAM) program.
