Thiruvananthapuram: Special permission from the Head of the General Registrar (Marriage) is not needed to register a wedding online.
The local government department (LSGD) issued a revised order in this regard.
On the first order, local agencies can register online marriages in cases where the couple has obtained a special permit from the General Registrar Chief (Marriage) and the registrant believes that married couples cannot appear directly before the latest marital assumer registrants have eliminated conditions Regarding the special permission of the General Registrar (Marriage).
This will allow local bodies such as City Corporation to register online marriages if their respective registrants in the local body are convinced of special circumstances.
