Nashik / Pune: Governor of Maharashtra and Chancellor of Universities in the country of Bhagat Singh Koshyari on Tuesday LT General Dr.

Madhuri Rajeev Kanitkar, Deputy Chairperson, Integrated Defense Staff (medical), a new representative of Chancellor from Maharashtra Health University based in Nashik Science (MUH).
Raj Bhavan’s statement read that the appointment of the new Chancellor will be a period of five years or until it reached the age of 65, which earlier than the date he assumed the VC office.
He will succeed Dr.
Deelip Maisekar, whose term ends in February this year.
Savitribai Phule Pune University Chancellor Nitin Karmalkar Chancellor is a VC acting from Muhs since then.
After his appointment, General Madhuri Kanitkar said the teamwork and rural health would be the focus area.
“The Indian Armed Forces have believed in team work and that’s what I will try to bring to the university.
To achieve this goal, I will try to unite all disciplines to work in patient research and care,” he told Toi.
He also said he would focus on instilling discipline among students and motivating them to work outside the curriculum.
“Rural health is one of the main concerns in front of us.
To overcome it, we will motivate and encourage postgraduate medical students to work in rural areas.
This will bring many changes in rural life,” he added.
LT General Kanitkar also served as Dean of Armed Universities based on Pune-based, alma mater, for more than two years since January 2017.
He topped the University of Pune during the examination of his MBBS graduation.
The teaching experience and involvement in the research range of more than 22 years.

Kanitkar as a new VC, an official Muhs said he would be the first person from the defense background to lead one of the most prestigious health science universities in the country.
“LT General Kanitkar is known as an academic who is very competent in medical education.

The Governor of Maharashtra in February this year appointed a team of three members who were scored by the retired Chief Justice of the High Court of Odisha Kalpesh Jhaveri to recommend him a suitable name panel for the appointment of the Chancellor’s representative.
Randeep Guleria, Director of the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), and Saurabh Vijay, Secretary in the Ministry of Medical Education and Medicine, are two other Committee members.
The panel was initially worried about 19 names of 35 applications that had been received and then sent the name of the five candidates to Raj Bhavan for the final selection of the new Muhs Vice-Chancellor.
Muhs was founded in 1998 and more than 415 health science colleges in this country affiliated with it.
