New Delhi: Even when the appointment of the head of the next defense staff was awaited, the government on Tuesday approved a proposal for the appointment of the Commander of the East Army Lieutenant General Manoj Pande as Deputy Chief of Staff of the next Army, said the source on Tuesday.
The Commander of the East Army will be the head of the next Army representative, said the source to Ani.
General Pande will be the successor to LieK Gen CP Mohanty scheduled for fundamental on January 31.
General Pande was assigned to the Corps of Engineering (The Bombay Sappers) in December 1982.
He was a graduate of College Staff, Camberley (United Kingdom)) and attended a higher commando course at the Army War College, MHOW and College of National Defense (NDC) in Delhi.
For 37 years the leading service, Pande has taken an active part of Vijay’s operation and operation of time.
He ordered engineer regiment along the control line in Jammu & Kashmir, engineer brigade as part of Corps Strike, infantry brigade along the control line, a mountain division in the high area of Ladakh and the Corps deployed along the actual control line (LAC) also in the operating area counter rebellion in the northeast.
