Lt Gen Pande to Go Eastern Controller

NEW DELHI: Lt General Manoj Pande will take over the reins of the Army’s Eastern Command at Kolkata on Tuesday, Although Lt General Ajai Singh Are the new Leader of This tri-Service Andaman and Nicobar Command, in two Critical appointments atop the ongoing military confrontation with China in eastern Ladakh.

The Navy also includes some fresh high appointments in its own headquarters, including Vice Admirals Ravneet Singh as the new deputy leader, DK Tripathi as leader of employees, Sandeep Naithani as leader of materiel, Rajesh Pendharkar as director general of naval operations and Kiran Deshmukh as control of warship creation and acquisition.
Lt Gen Pande, that had been commissioned in the Corps of Engineers (Bombay Sappers) at December 1982, will displace Lt Gen Anil Chauhan, who retires because the Eastern Army commander.
He’ll function as senior-most officer at the Army if General MM Naravane retires because the primary second year.
Lt Gen Ajai Singh, an armoured corps officer commissioned in December 1983, is going to be the 16th commander-in-chief of all ANC.
His appointment comes at a time when India is gradually cranking up pressure levels and military infrastructure at the strategically-located archipelago within a powerful counter to Chinese movements from the Indian Ocean Region.
