Lucknow: With around 7,500 more beneficiaries who completed a two-dose vaccine course on Saturday, almost 10% of the adult population in the district is now fully immunized against Covid-19.
According to the Chief Medical Officer office, the number of daily vaccinations fell 15% on Saturday compared to 22,124 inoculation on Friday.
At least 18,761 people were attached on Saturday at 64 booths – 55 governments and nine private.
Of these, 7,529 (40%) people took a second shot, while 11,232 took the first.
With this, the number of recipients who are fully vaccinated reached more than 3.55 lakh, which was almost 10% of the 35.78 adult population of Lucknow, calculated based on selection and aadhar data.
Overall, 16.2 doses of lakh have been provided so far since the start of the mass immunization campaign from January 16 this year.
“The second dose recipient will increase in the coming days as more people take the first JAD at the end of April and may be eligible for the booster dose immediately,” said Immunization Officer Dr.
M M Singh.
