Lucknow: Vaccination Covid-19 in the city crosses a milestone of more than 18 lakh doses with more than 22,500 people rolling back their sleeves to take the Jabungan on Friday.
With this, more than 4.21 lakh (11.6%) of people among 36 populations of the district of the district lakh now fully immunized with two dosage courses, while more than 9.64 lakh (26.7%) people have received One shot.
The average daily vaccination, which was low in the past few days, collected steps on Friday with a total of 22,677 people, including 10,379 (45%) of women, queued at 86 centers to get Jab.
While 16,014 beneficiaries took the first shot, 6,663 got the second.
It was the second time after July 9 that daily inoculation crossed 22,000.
The leap in vaccination is caused by an increase in the number of centers.
Among the beneficiaries, 13,027 (57.4%) were in the age group 18-44, 6,765 (29.8%) in categories 45-59 years and 25.39 (11.1%) of the elderly aged 60 years and above.
Dr MK Singh District Immunization Officer said the authorities planned to increase the number of rooms in the coming days to vaccinate more people every day.
“We received the first consignment of fresh vaccine supplies on Thursday.
More shipping tends to arrive in the next few days.
Drive will be expanded according to the availability of vaccines,” he added.
