Lucknow: The surge in cases of dengue fever continues on Wednesday with 25 more people who test positive for this disease.
This is a one-day surge in the highest this year.
Although most cases are reported from high casel areas such as Aliganj, NK Road, Chinhat, Indiranagar, Turiyaganj, Aishbagh and Chinhat, some patients are also reported from new areas in Maal and Kakori.
New cases include 12 women, 10 men and three teenagers.
Six patients must be hospitalized for their serious condition.
The doctor said that their platelet count was low.
Other patients were sent back after receiving drugs and recovering at home.
The lack of hygiene and accumulation of water is said to be the main reason behind the surge in cases of dengue fever.
