Ludhiana: Immediately, the e-Challan model of Lucknow-Agra Expressway can be replicated in Ludhiana too.
Hi-tech equipment will be installed at various national highway points to make a check on speeding vehicles.
Vehicles found to speed up will issue e-challan.
According to the National Crime Record Bureau (NCRB), accelerating is the main cause of the death of an accident on Jalan in Ludhiana in 2019, which was even higher than the national average of the year under the category.
As NCRB data, 365 deaths in 526 road accidents were reported in Ludhiana.
Of these, 314 the accident was caused by speeding, which produced 209 deaths.
This means that 57.26% of the total death in a road accident in the city is caused by accelerating and the number is even higher than the national average of 55.2% below this category.
NCRB data revealed that in the past three years, the number of accidents due to accelerating increased.
In 2017, 193 accidents on the road occurred due to accelerating, in 2018 increased to 197 and in 2019 to 209.
Commissioner with the police (traffic) Deepak Pareap said, “Speaking is the main cause of road premature, especially on national highways.
We have two speed radars, someone has gone for improvement.
Because of locking, the inspection of a vehicle is quickly stopped, but will continue.
“” For a city like Ludhiana, we plan to replicate the agra-Lucknow Expressway model.
Distance between Lucknow Toll Plaza and Agra is 302km, which match the speed limit must take three hours to close.
Hi-tech equipment has been installed to capture a picture of a vehicle that includes a distance in less time and this is issued by Challan.
We have taken the project with the Indian National Highway Authority, But they suggest that we discuss it with the state government first.
We have written to the state government to pass the project, so we can save valuable lives.
“JCP said,” another major reason for an accident on the national highway is the people who cross the road from the median and a damaged fence.
We have written to Nhai to improve spots so that people cross only through jambulak.
