Lucknow: Gambusia Fish Eggs Released in Pool

Lucknow: To curb the threat of dengue mosquitoes, The Lucknow Municipal Corporation, under the infectious disease control campaign, released 6,000 gamusia fish eggs in the pool near the Hussainabad Clock Tower.

“Mosquitoes live in stagnant water for 9-10 days.
Gambusia’s fish are our great allies in this work.
It takes mosquito larvae in the water itself,” he added.
Deputy Chairperson, LMC, Rajnish Gupta said the project was a joint effort from several departments, including health dephrtment and LMC.
SK Rawatan Health Officer, “Gambusia’s fish work is like a combat gun for effective control over mosquitoes.”
