Lucknow: A man allegedly killed his wife and then tried to commit suicide by hanging himself at his residence in Almbagh, the country on Tuesday morning.
According to the police, the defendant, Sushil Kumar Yadav (40) was a taxi driver and killed his wife, Meera (35) by hitting him with an iron stick on his head.
After that, he was called U and said that he had killed his wife and would commit suicide.
U told the Almbagh police, the country reached the place and was caught by Yadav.
The police sent Meera’s body for Post-Mortem and said that the defendant was hospitalized because he was tested by Covid-19 positive during a regular medical examination before being sent to prison.
Brijesh Yadav, a relative of Meera, told the police that the couple married in 2009, but did not have children from the marriage.
As a result, he claimed, Sushil’s mother used to persuade him to divorce Meera and marry another woman.
He said that Meera had filed a complaint of harassment against her husband with the previous police, but then compromised and the case was resolved.
Shobhavati Yadav, the mother of the deceased, the police said that Sushil was also tempting with the widow of her child who died six months ago.
When Meera objected to this relationship, Sushil got angry and took this action, he was suspected.
Sho Almbagh, Country, Anil Kumar Singh said that the murder case had been submitted against Sushil.
The defendant, he said, had been hospitalized after he was tested Covid-19 positive in a quick test.
Now, he added, this sushil sample has been sent to confirm the RT-PCR test and further action will be taken after the report arrives.
