Lucknow: Taking a lesson from the Malang incident in Kanpur where a sick woman died allegedly while waiting for a delay of traffic considering the visit of President of Ram Nath Kovind, Lucknow’s police had hit a complicated plan to ensure the passage in patients and ambulances.
Lucknow Police Commissioner, DK Thakur, told Toi that the police on duty and the control room had been vigilant to ensure that residents had medical conditions and emergencies attended and permitted from a safe passage.
“We have distributed emergency helpline numbers and have also mobilized additional police forces in two-three critical points,” he said.
Police Commissioner said the police on duty had been directed to ensure that no ambulance was stopped and managed his way if stuck in one of the transfer routes.
The control room was also asked to remain vigilant.
In addition to district police, at least 2,500 paramilitary central and PAC personnel will also be deployed.
