Lucknow: The case of dengue fever continues to drip on Wednesday with 18 people more testing positive in the last 24 hours.
The condition of six patients was serious and they had to be hospitalized.
These cases, which include six women and a 15-year-old boy, reported from various parts of the city including Husaananj, Aliganj, Kaiserbagh, Chinhat, and Indiranagar.
Among critical cases, two were treated at Lokbandhu Hospital and four at Balrampur Hospital.
These patients must be hospitalized because their platelet counts fell below 20,000 to the normal range of 150,000 to 450,000 per microliter of blood.
Health workers said the condition of six inpatients was stable.
The remaining patients were sent back after prescribing the drug, added them.
With this, September number rose to 292, which 162 (56%) appeared in the last 13 days.
