NEW DELHI: Five people, four of them girls, were detained for allegedly impersonating charge card providers and duping people about the pretext of expanding them appealing offerings and presents, authorities said on Tuesday.
The accused had been identified as Rahul Rathore (30), a resident of Saraswati Vihar, Muskan (21) along with Kajal (22), inhabitants of Burari, Sonam (26), also a resident of Rohini, also Babita (22), a resident of Mukundpurthey stated.
On the night of Monday and Tuesday, authorities obtained information about a bogus call center running at Sector-16 at Rohini, also a senior police officer stated.
“Police found the location where Rathore, mind of their call center, and four girls supporters were found current.
When he had been requested to reveal the approved certification to conduct the call center, he couldn’t create any legitimate record,” Deputy Commissioner of Police (Rohini) Pranav Tayal stated.
During interrogation, Rathore disclosed he got the contact and credit card information out of his accomplices Brijesh along with Dinesh and produced predictions on the provided numbers and also read an previously written transcription to be able to dupe individuals by providing them false assurances of supplying alluring offers, gift cards, gift cards, VIP cash saving cards, health care strategy etc by impersonating charge card providers, the DCP said.
Afterwards, it was shown that the individuals who fell victim for their false claims were requested to deposit cash in their bank account prior to getting the charge card deals.
The centers, were, but not supplied from the accused after obtaining the sum, authorities said.
1 notebook, six cell telephones, 1 printer, lender records of detained were among other things seized by authorities.
