Ludhiana: Massive Fire Extinguisher at 66 KV Power Grid Punjab State Power Corporation Limited (PSPCL) on Friday night.
Fire tender from Raikot, Jagraon, Ludhiana, Barwara and Air Force station entered into the Fire Control Task.
Suddenly there was an explosion in one transformer and two more transformers would be at risk but fire fighters saved two transformers from burning when destroyed fully.

The fire broke around 4:30 p.m.

Subinder Sub Fire Officer Sat Virk said, “We use foam to extinguish the fire and at least 2.25 liters of foam are used in controlling the fire completely.

Meanwhile, Deputy Head of the Operations Engineer Sub Circle Ludhiana Anil Kumar said, “The reason behind the fire will be investigated later when we recover the power supply in the affected area.
We have restored supply on bassian while Raikot will also be restored in the next few hours.”
