Ludhiana: High-level drama witnessed between BJP leaders and Congress in the Gurmail Nagar area at Ward-31 in Ludhiana City on Wednesday because they took credit construction work in the region.
The BJP Council Sonia Sharma accused that even after he inaugurated the work, the leader of the Sarabjit Congress Singh Dhillon came there and tried to stop the job.
However, Dhillon claimed that he received an approved job based on a public quota and it had nothing to do with the work of the quota of board members.
Residents in Gurmail Nagar are awaiting construction of the road for a long time because the preparation for lying down the road has been made.
BJP members reached there sitting in Dharna.
He accused the leaders of Dharna, the police and Congress threatened him.
The officer on duty then said the cement could not be placed on the road as time went on to utilize the material.
Sharma said the road could not be built because of the drama and he would sit in protest against city officials and the Congress government outside the commissioner’s office on Thursday.
“I have received approval for this work through state government funds and has nothing to do with the quota work of the board members.
The board member Sonia Sharma sits in front of a truck loaded with materials and because the protest material cannot be used,” said Sarabjit Singh Dhillon.
