Ludhiana: Happy Ludhiana Regency people for 20.75 lakh in the Covid vaccination drive, Deputy Commissioner Varinder Kumar Sharma on Wednesday said that reaching this target is the success of every citizen of Ludhiana.
Interacting with residents in the weekly live Facebook session on the official page of DPRO Ludhiana, DC states that without cooperation people, it is impossible to vaccinate a large number of people and become the first district in this state to cover 20.75 lakh people in this drive starting on January 16, 2021.
He added that large level immunization will help handle the third wave more effectively.
He said that the vaccine was the only way to return to normal and district administration would not leave the stone missed in vaccinating every qualified before the emergence of the third possible third wave.
DC praised their vaccinated efforts and those who made vaccinations become successful, especially the health team besides he also praised the contribution of industry, NGOs and the community’s welfare community conducting inoculation camps in the district.
He also said that even though there were cases reported in one digit, there was a greater need for vigilance because the virus was still among us and we must be very careful.
He asked people to continue to observe the right Covid-19 behavior including wearing masks, maintaining social distance, and watching hand hygiene.
