Ludhiana: The investigative wing from the income tax department is taking a big action in Ludhiana since Thursday morning.
According to sources, the raids are being carried out on companies dealing with bicycles and spare parts and more than eight places belonging to five companies are being borne in this action.
Some locations in which IT actions will take place including factories based in industrial estates near partap chowk, FOCAL Point Four, Delandari Kalan, and housing premis located in the city model, Sarabha Nagar.
Some teams consisting of around 100 IT department officials and staff with heavy police force were beaten simultaneously in all of these places.
Until now, there was no clarity why this raid had been carried out but several theories conducted a round that included income suppression by several raid companies.
Meanwhile, the department has a tight action on action and even though it repeatedly repeatedly to contact officials none of them responded to the call.
The source said one general link that arises in this case is that the majority of companies that are in action are regular participants in the government’s bicycle purchase tender.
