Ludhiana: Officer IAS 2015-Batch Sandeep Kumar on Monday assumes the office as an additional deputy commissioner (Urban Development) Ludhiana.
Kumar said he would approve the top priority to implement further policies / schemes in a better way.

Additional Deputy Commissioners said this post was created by the Punjab government to further improve the efficiency of the urban local body in the state.
He asked the officers / employees to carry out their duties with maximum dedication besides ensuring transparency and delivery of services on time to people.
Kumar said, “Illegal colony mushrooms will not be permitted in this district.
My office will also maintain strict vigilance to examine the coming of colonies like that (outside the MC limit)”.
“According to the direction of the state government, the power of destroying such colonies which was previously given to Gladada, has been given to my office now and I will take strict action on such colonies or buildings that appear in such jurisdiction,” he added.
He said that cell complaints would also be arranged to register and maintain all complaints received by telephone or in writing.
