Ludhiana: Khanna Police have captured two liquor sellers after recovering two hundred and fifty six boxes of liquor from them.
Allegations were identified as Jaswinder Singh from Garha near Choudhrian Mohalla in Philaur in Jalandhar District and Gurmukh Ram Santokhpura Mohalla in the same area.
SSP Khanna Balwinder Singh said that Khanna Police had started a special campaign against gangsters / drug smugglers, anti-social elements and during this police campaign present at Neelon Canal Bridge Samrala to examine the allegations of people / vehicles.
He added that the police received the accused tip-off used to smuggle forbidden liquor from Chandigarh to Punjab and came from Chandigarh along with the registration of PB-11-CN-2647 pb-11-cn-2647 bearing from liquor.
The police said that the information suggested that the defendant could be arrested if the checkpoint was arranged at Canal Bridge Neelon in Samrala.
He added that working on the tip, a case was registered against the defendant at the Samrala police station and the defendant was arrested after setting a checkpoint.
The police said that after checking the vehicle, 256 liquor boxes were restored.
This adds that further investigation is being carried out to reveal further details.
