Irked for the apathetic attitude of the government, residents of the colony side by side with Bokon protested on Tuesday and also blocked traffic.
The population made that despite the fact that more than 20,000 people lived in the surrounding area and many commuters took this road to reach the national highway, only a 1.5 km long stretch could not be built in 4.5 years.
They threatened if the road would not be built, they would not allow politicians to enter their territory for the election campaign.
Residents of the area such as Netaji Park, Ram Nagar, Gautam Vihar and Green Avenue are the most affected.
The population also claims that even a lost street lights on this route and in the darkness it becomes more difficult and in the coming days of the mist will create problems.
A resident of Balllok Angrej Singh said, “We have asked MLE Kuldeep Vaid for the construction of this stretch from the last 4.5 years and he has given one or other reasons to delay but now when the electoral code will be applied we must protest.
We blocked traffic during 1.5 to 2 hours on Tuesday and next time will be all day if the road will not be built.
“He said they would not support any party now because it was not built for a long time.
He claimed that many commuters met with accidents due to holes in every day but no one was disturbed.
Meanwhile Rahul Sharma, the population of Apple Villa who has a factory on this road said, “Not only employees and workers but other commuters have also met an accident every day.” He said the road had a deep and completely messy hole.
He claimed that streets in other areas were built but this stretch remained like that.
However, the MLA Congress of the Gill Constituency Gill Kuldeep Singh Vaid said, “Many roads have been built and this small stretch will also be built soon.
Officials have worked.”
