According to the latest health department report, which contains data until Thursday, the total number of cases reported from the district is 331.
From them, 184 cases are patients from Ludhiana, 114 of other regions and 33 of the other countries.
This report shows that 184 cases, 154 were reported from the urban area of Ludhiana and six cases each reported from Koon Kalan and Sudhar, each five from Jagraon and Sahnewal, four of Khanna.
One case each witnessed in the Minaud bet area, Pakhowal, Payal and Sidhwan.
Despite being worrying, cases were still less than last year when 237 cases were reported from the district in the same time period.
The health department official said 123 cases had been up from hospitals and 61 were treated in various hospitals on Thursday.
The number of cases reported from Ludhiana almost doubled since September 15 – from 162 to 331 and even district cases have increased from 92 to 184.
Data also showed 266 cases reported in September and 45 in August.
In July, 17 cases were reported from the district and before that there were only three cases in the district.
