Ludhiana: After waiting for more than three months, new fire tenders and other enhanced gadgets were finally handed over to Ludhiana fire department officials on Saturday when the Minister of Food, Civil Equipment and Consumer Affairs Bharat Bhushan Ashu dedicated the infrastructure of firefighters and rescue modernized and advanced for the city.

These tools can be used to cut and spread work easily on the site.
Five portable inflatable emergency lights have also been purchased at a cost of Rs 11.74 lakh.
Five thermal imaging cameras worth Rs 41.79 lakh have been given to the fire brigade to see through smoke, monitor fires and help in better planning to control fires, especially the main hotspots.
Five settings of aluminum fire extinguisher worth Rs 51 lakh have been purchased for firefighters to handle fire incidents easily with more resistance to high temperatures.
