Chennai: Head of Minister M K Stalin on Monday said the administrative machine must prepare a permanent scheme to eliminate encroachment and strengthen the bank’s bank to prevent flooding in Chennai.
In his first address to the state disaster management authority as its chairman, Stalin said the Chennai Flood Management Committee would be established to consist of experts in the environment, city planning, disaster management to design the method of controlling flooding and designing the impact of flooding.
The government’s goal is to prevent loss of life, damage to the nature and infrastructure during the disaster and to change countries that can effectively deal with all types of disasters.
Stalin directs officials at the district and state level to act in coordination.
“Disasters that occur recently are not only natural.
People must also be responsible.
Seasonal change is not uniform and such a situation must be understood by us and followed up,” said the ministerial head.
