Chennai: Chief Minister M Stalin on Sunday promised to document the contribution of Tamil in the struggle of freedom and thanked the people for giving him the opportunity to unfold the national flag in Fort St George on the 75th Independence Day in India.
“This year marks my 50 years in public life,” Stalin said, in his first independence speech as the main minister.
He also recalled his father and former CM letter forces for the former PM Indira Gandhi who delivered the CMS tradition stretched Tricolor on August 15.
CM Stalin, which also launched the ‘pillar warning’ to mark Indian independence celebrations in India.
, said the year 2021 was famous for several things including the President’s visit for the Centenary celebration of the Tamil Nadu Assembly, the settlement of the one hundred-year justice party chosen to power in TN, and 100 years of visit Mahatma Gandhi to the state after that he began to use simple clothes.
This year also marked the 150-year anniversary of V O Chidambaram Pillai who sold his family’s wealth to float shipping companies against England, CM said, adding that the opportunity would be celebrated very largely.
This year also marked the death of Poet Bharathiyar, he said.
