Macbook, blacklist textbook for images of Malama besides war heroes

Islamabad: Punjab Pakistani Curriculum and Textbooks have confiscated all 7th grade social studies books published by the Oxford University Press (OUP) to display the picture of the Nobel Peace Prize winner of Malala Yousufzai and a May Aziz Bhatti, considered 1965 war heroes.
Page 33 This book has pictures of many famous personality, including Muhammad Ali Jinnah, National Poet Allama Iqbal, Sir Syed Ahmed Khan, First PM PM Liaqat Ali Khan, Philanthropist Abdul Sattar Edhi, Begum Raamed Liaquat Ali Khan (wife PM first) And Bhatti, the recipient of the highest Military Award Pakistan Nishan-i-Haider.
Malala’s face besides the latter has raised the hacking of establishments because, unlike in the West, he is not everyone’s favorite in his home country.
While the copy of the book has been circulating, the source on the textbook said the police and other institutions were looking for bookstores in Lahore to ensure no more copies were sold.
On Monday, the official team reportedly first carried out an attack on the OUP office at Gulberg Lahore’s location and confiscated all shares stored there for distribution.
They also submitted a letter to the press, stating that the book was not issued by NOC.
Quoting anonymous publishers, newspaper Dawn Karachi reported that the book had been submitted to the textbook for the review in 2019 as part of the process of finding NOC.
“Meanwhile, the University of Oxford Press has published a book even though it was not issued by NOC,” said the publisher.
He said council officials, police and other agents visited his shop, asking about the book and reading the sequence of seizure.
Last year, the Punjab curriculum and textbooks had banned 100 books that were considered “opposed” the theory of two countries, or found “unethical and illegal”.
