Lyon: A man involved French President Emmanuel Macron with eggs as he visited the restaurant and trade show hotel in the southeast city of Lyon on Monday.
The egg hit his shoulder but bounced without breaking up.
The attacker was quickly subdued and removed from the room, with Macron said he would try to talk to him later.
“If he has something to tell me, let him come,” said Macron in an international catering, the hotel and Food Trade Week (Sirha).
“I’ll go see him afterwards.” It was a surprising disturbance from a warm welcome by a fair participant for the central president, at least after he announced that restaurant tips paid with a credit card would no longer be taxed.
Eggs from Protesters Irate are the dangers of public work for French politicians, and Macron is no exception.
When he was still a candidate for the presidency in 2017, an egg exploded in his head during a crowd visit at the National Agricultural Exhibition in Paris.
Recently, a man slapped his face when he shook hands with sympathizers both in the southern city of Valence in June.
The 28-year-old man, who told a court that he sympathized by the protest “Yellow Vest” Anti-government in 2018 and 2019, sentenced to four months in prison.
Macron’s security details are expected to be at a high warning in the coming months when the centris leader multiplies his public appearance ahead of the widely expected re-election campaign.
So far he has not officially stated his nomination for another five-year term chosen for next April.
