Mad Midnight Rush When Sydney came out of one of the most stringent locking in the world

Melbourne: Restaurants and pubs opened in the middle of the night and retail shops watched a long queue as a four-month locking – among the hardest world – relaxed in Sydney, the largest city in Australia.
A drizzle did not slightly dampen the spirit when people who were fully vaccinated rushed to the same restaurant and cafe as Lockdown was appointed at midnight on Sunday.
Many restaurants offer a discount as high as 49% to tempt customers.
The gym in the room recorded full booking for group classes and the office was reopened.
Reservations at large restaurants are hard to come by, so promise with hairdressers.
The video shows a queue outside the new retail shop past midnight.
Resident Shreyasi Sircar, also shopping on Monday.
“Of course, wherever I go, I have to show my vaccination certificate,” he said.
Sydney, the capital of the New South Wales state, has become the center of the third covid wave driven by the Delta variant in June.
Since then, hard restrictions are applied, including forbid people from exploring more than 5 km from home.
This city has now reopened after touching a full level of vaccination 70%.
However, Melbourne has been under locking for 254 days now.
With New South Wales recording nearly 400 cases a day, this is Australia’s first attempt to live with a virus.
It came just a few days after Australian PM Scott Morrison said that the ban on Australians traveling abroad would be appointed.
PM said that it was “time to give Australia their lives back”.
On Monday, Dominic Perrottet, New Prime Minister for New South Wales, said “The efforts made by people to go and get vaccinations have enabled today”.
He acknowledged that there might be challenges and case numbers may increase, but adding opening it was very important for the economy.
“NSW led Australia from this pandemic,” he said.
Masks will be in place up to 80% of the country fully vaccinated.
However, some social media users, upset that only people who are fully vaccinated can enjoy full mobility.
“October 11 will be remembered as the day of discrimination and day of separation in Australian history,” written online users.
