MADC examination worth RS 3.50 CR Bounce, officials say technology errors

Nagpur: Two checks issued by the Themaarashtra Airport Development Corporation (MADC), which is a nodal body for the development of the Mihan project, bouncing on Tuesday.
They were given by the Ministry of Finance to the bidder of the five-star hotel proposed in Mihan after their offer was rejected on the technical basis.
The check was withdrawn in the name of the Bank of Baroda (Bob) and given after a three-month gap and followed continuous follow-up with the MADC authority.
Only when they managed to contact the MADC Director of MADC Deepak Kapoor, who intervened to restore their number, the bidder got their check.
Kapoor, also the Deputy Chair of MADC, said the problem was reported to him after office hours and it was impossible for him to ask questions while sitting in Mumbai.
“On Wednesday morning, I will take this problem on priority and will try to find out the reason,” he told Toi.
Madc’s Financial Officer Anisha Godani told Ti that he received information about the sign of Bounce at 8:30 a.m.
and he immediately contacted Bob officials in this matter.
“They told me that our account had sufficient funds and there might be some technical reasons behind chaos.
I have a screenshot of all the numbers in our account today.
Now Bob officials say they will be able to explain just chaos on Thursday when the bank Reopened after the Republican Day holiday, “he said.
The risen check was handed over to Pramod Korde on behalf of the ‘Spectrum Advertising Agency’ and Accountant Chartered Sanjay Mukewar’s Wife Rashmi on behalf of ‘Sam Real Estate and Farming Private Limited’.
Both of them have deposited RS 1.75 Crore each as a serious deposit of money (EMD) in October last year for offers for hotel tenders, which will still be opened.
After their offer was rejected, they demanded their money back.
However, MADC officials save them to tinderhooks for almost three months.
“I have borrowed money from the market to bid with my friends.
Now, they not only delay refunds, but also reflect my check of 1.75 Crore Bob.
I was surprised to get a bounce message on my HDFC account, because the funds did not Adequate on the MADC account, “Korde told Toi, added that he suffered losses because MADC.
Mukewar said they did not expect such treatment from organizations such as MADC, which took care of large budget projects such as Mihan and Airports in Shirdi.
“I received a bounce message at night and I immediately contacted the authorities, but did not receive a satisfactory reply,” he said, demanding that MADC must provide a draft request rather than check or deposit the number directly into their account.
Other senior officials told Tii that they had a conversation with the Head of MADC Financial Officer (CFO) in Mumbai, who clarified that there were sufficient funds in their accounts and no way checks could be issued due to lack of money.
“He told us that there might be technical reasons for bouncing checks.”
