Yesterday, Madhur Bhandarkar visited the ailing Dilip Kumar in Hinduja Hospital (Khar) where the thespian is down with a lung problem.
Talking to ETimes this evening, Madhur said, “I met Sairaji and she was very gracious to give me time.
I was happy when I learned there that he was stable.
I felt I must go and so I did.
Sairaji asked that we should pray for her husband’s recovery.”

Madhur says that he has met Dilip saab only once before.
“It was at an event and we had spoken to each other.
I hope he returns home fine, soon.”
The National-Award filmmaker said that he always yearned to work with Dilip Kumar.
“I wish it had happened.
i am a great admirer of his work.”
Madhur has kept in close touch with veterans- Dharmendra, Manoj Kumar, Shatrughan Sinha, Zeenat Aman and Amit Khanna.
“I speak to Lata didi once in 15 days,” he added.
Meanwhile, if all goes well, according to pulmonologist Dr Jalil Parkar, Dilip saab maybe discharged in the next 72 hours.
“He underwent a procedure, today.
350 ml fluid was removed from his left lung.
His oxygen saturation levels are 100 percent and he may be discharged in the next 3 days,” Dr Parkar had told ETimes earlier in the day.
